Unity Success For Tams Employees.
Unity
are pleased to announce a successful protective award claim for our members
who lost their jobs due to the Tams Group going into receivership.
The
application was able to be made because the receivers failed to consult with us
over their plans for the company after they had been appointed.
The
Employment Tribunal awarded the full ninety days, but members must be
reminded that the Redundancy Payments Office who will be responsible, have an
upper limit of eight weeks.
The amount paid to each individual will also vary, depending on when their own employment was terminated.
All Unity members will be receiving further information from our solicitors in the near future.
