General Secretary meets
Churchill China long servers - Wed 14th Feb 2007.
Unity General Secretary Geoff Bagnall visited
Churchill China at their Marlborough Works site to meet six employees who
between them have amassed 258 years of service with the company, and 206 years
of membership with the union.

Geoff thanked the members for their loyalty to the union and presented them each
with
a long service award.
They then spoke to Stephen Barry (editor of Unity News) about their working life
in the pottery industry, and the changes that they have seen since leaving
school almost half
a century ago.
Churchill China Managing Director Andrew Roper, Production Director Paul Smith,
and
Personnel Director Ann Basnett called in to add their congratulations to their
employees.
