Change to Statutory Payments.
The limit for the calculation of Statutory Redundancy
payments is increased from £295
per week, to £310 - with effect from 1st February 2007.
Statutory Sick Pay will increase from £70.05 to £72.55 from 6th April 2007.
Statutory Maternity, Statutory Paternity, and Adoption - All will increase
from £108.85 to
£112.75, from 1st April 2007.
The National Minimum Wage is to rise by 17 pence (about 3%) from £5.35 to £5.52
an hour, from October 2007.
The rate for workers aged 18-21 will rise by 15 pence to £4.60 an hour, while
workers
aged 16 and 17 will get a 10 pence rise, taking them to £3.40 an hour.
Reminders:
* Maternity, Paternity, and Adoption leave and pay, all
change for those due to give birth,
or adopt, on or after 1st April.
* Employees will have the right, from the 6th April
onwards to request flexible working if
they are caring for an adult.
* A No Smoking ban comes into force in all enclosed public
places, including most
workplaces in:
